Where stars no longer lit, but only the glow of the moon shines over
snowy hills and forests, dark power rises.
Past Zagh forest on the northern part of Varkrignacht, the palace of doom holds great
evil forces for his master, lord Ahriman, forms an apocalyptical spell.
He who will take thy power and unveil the evil spirits that infest this dark domain,
will stand against lord Ahriman's evil plot and release this land from darkness.

Through the Agalaz hills, where the hungry wolves howl at night.
Into the Zagh forest, ruled by the seer and wizard Aramil Vardener.
Evil creatures reign those lands of woe, forgotten by time and light, remain in darkness
for centuries, inflict the power of thy curse.
Ahriman, sorcerer of vampiric and evil nature, casts his spell and the foul spirits
rise to his command.

Will there be found, big hearts of glory, who once shall become heroes
against dark and evil forces, through ice and fire,
will forge the way into light and freedom.
Varkrignacht shall rise again and be free from Ahriman's curse!!!

As a genre that relies so heavily on nostalgia, Dungeon Synth as a genre has some hard limits. However, when done right, it can really just draw you in. Forest Shrine just does everything right here. The music does a great job at visualizing a winter landscape in all of its stark beauty and I suspect enjoying this in the snow will make it even better. 3.5/5 ClassyMusicSnob
